MARRIAGE CONTRACT

MARRIAGE CONTRACT

Although discussing material matters is always a bit confusing, it is necessary to lay down the rules, on which the spouses will dispose of the property, and – its acquisition or division in the event of the death of one of them or divorce.

There are different possibilities – property separation, property community, limiting the community to property acquired during the marriage. If the contract has not been written, the spouses' personal rights that belonged to them before the marriage remain their separate property, while the property accumulated over the years of marriage is joint (regardless of, was it e.g.. bought in the name of one, or both spouses).

Also during the marriage, you can ask the court for changes to the ownership and disposal of property.
